Grand final day

With much anticipation, the Grand final is finally upon us! After months of footy tipping and many beers drunk over exciting games we have finally reached our two champion teams. The Wolf and I have some very exciting things planned for the day! Doors open at 10am and we will have bacon and egg rolls fresh from the kitchen for $5 until 12.30pm. There will be live music from 11.30am and kick off is at 2.30pm! We will have drink specials all day and from siren to siren we will have $10 pints from your choice of tap. It seriously doesn’t get better then that! Make sure you get in early to claim your spot! It’s going to be a full house and a game to remember! If you’re wanting to start the celebrations early we are open on Friday night and we have some epic drink specials! 3 hours of happiness from 3-6pm and from 8-10pm we have 2-4-1 cocktails! Just ask our staff for more info!

Our new head chef and his team have been working hard to bring you an incredible new menu. When re doing our menu we decided to bring our customers not only the best food but also to provide a wide range of options so that everyone could enjoy what we have to offer. With vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options we not only are able to satisfy everyone’s needs but also provide healthier and sustainable options for all!

Our menu is broken up into four sections. The first section we have named small, this is made up of small plates, perfect for sharing with friends. The small section has a variety of meat, gluten free and vegetarian options. The Chachterie board is perfect for sharing with some friends over a bottle of wine after work! Perhaps our Mac n cheesy bites paired with one of our craft beers is bettered suited?

Our “Herbivore” section is dedicated to all the vegetarians out there. The food in this section is so flavourful and filling even all the die-hard meat eaters out there enjoys indulging in those dishes. We highly recommend the pumpkin linguini! The linguini’s pumpkin is so perfectly caramelised making the dish the perfect combination of salty and sweet. Our next recommendation would be the mushroom burger! The grilled mushroom is so complex with flavours that it kicks most regular burgers out of the competition. Our vegan recommendation is the roast pumpkin salad, but if that doesn’t tickle your fancy just ask our staff for other vegan options.

The “pescatarian” section is for the people in-between. Not quite vegetarian but not that into meaty dishes. Seafood naturally is a winner with most people so we thought best to give it a special section. Beer battered fish is always a favourite amongst the masses so why not try our fish, its most defiantly better then the rest! For a healthier option try our confit salmon salad with orange segments, asparagus and a lemon dressing!

Our Carnivore section is usually the most popular so we have provided a wide range of meaty dishes! From salads to roasts we have everything you’ll be craving! Try our Ceaser salad with chicken, it comes with a poached egg and filled with the traditional favourites. For something heartier try our Lamb backstrap with lyonnaise potato, cherry truss tomato, spinach and a red wine jus!

Don’t forget about our naughty menu, which has four amazing options for the sweet and savoury tooth. Try our sticky date pudding, it is mouth watering and everything you could want in a pudding! For the savour souls try our cheese board, which comes with a selection of three cheeses and sides, perfect with a glass of red to wash away the day’s trials. Make sure you flip the menu for info on our daily specials!

Mrs Wolf opening night

Mrs Wolf opened her doors at 9pm on the 30th April! This much anticipated event was one to remember! The venue was packed and the vibe strong! People continued to flutter up the stairs and through the venue! Everyone was excited to be there and to see what the venue had to offer. The Library is the first room people cross paths with. The walls are covered in encyclopaedias, deer heads mounted on the wall and candles giving a golden glow to this old world room. It’s the perfect place to solve the world’s problems one Scotch at time.

Across from the Library you’ll find the bar where our Mrs Wolf staff are shaking, mixing and pouring concoctions of your favourite drinks! Make sure you try our amaretto sour; it will knock your socks off! Once you have your drinks make your way into the main lounge where one renounced DJ’s are mixing and the people boogying! Don’t forget to take in each detail of the room! Our vintage décor and extraordinary chandeliers make this room one to talk about! Don’t forget about our smoking terrace where you can take your drinks and relax in the cool air. Follow the sign located in front of the staircase and find the courtyard!

The Wolf and I presents Mrs Wolf! 

We have been working hard to get Mrs Wolf ready for her big debut. Opening night is the 30th of April (9pm-3am) and we have plenty planned for her big reveal. We have Dj’s Fergus, Luke MCD, New York Underground and Chris NG! We also have bottles of Louis Roederer champagne, Asahi beer and Grey Goose vodka on special! It’s going to be a night to remember!

Not only is Mrs Wolf the best new bar to open on Chapel st but also her interior is something to talk about! The Wolf and I give a fork!

The Wolf and I proudly announce that we have teamed up with Sustainable Table and their give a fork campaign for April. Sustainable Table is an environmental non-for profit group that is trying to change the way we view environmental issues. Their latest campaign is trying to change how we look at food! Did you know that animal farming and food manufacturing consumes more energy then home energy or transport combined! So what Give a Fork is doing is getting restaurants involved by creating a sustainable meal as an option for the public to purchase and some of the proceeds will go towards them and help them make this world a better place!

What you can do?
